Economic empowerment and skills development

We believe that empowering families economically is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Through village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) and small entrepreneurship training, we help women and youth build financial confidence, start income-generating activities, and support one another. These community-led groups promote saving, solidarity, and resilience while also giving participants the tools to achieve lasting independence and dignity.

Village Saving and Loan Associations

Our VSLA model unites groups of 20–25 women and youth who save together, access small loans, and build financial trust. Each group runs its own savings and lending activities through a simple, transparent system adapted for rural communities. Members invest in small businesses, improve family well-being, and strengthen their financial independence.

Vocational Training

Our vocational training program equips women and youth with practical skills to start small businesses and earn a stable income. Participants learn trades such as soap making, baking, tailoring, and other crafts that generate sustainable livelihoods. Alongside technical training, they also receive guidance in financial literacy and entrepreneurship to help them turn skills into lasting opportunities.
